Burgess recruitment is urgently seeking an experienced Temporary Head Chef for a 130m+ New Build.
We are seeking a highly skilled and professional Head Chef to join a large and dynamic crew.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3-5 years as Head Chef or Executive Chef on yachts 100m+.
- All relevant yachting certificated up to date and in hand.
- Proven experience managing a galley team of 4-6 crew.
- Strong background in Mediterranean, Asian fusion, and international fine dining.
- Highly creative and with ability to design and execute varied daily menus for up to 30 Guests, including bespoke tasting menus and special dietary requirements.
- Professional guest facing skills.
- Able to interact with Owners and Guests when required, take special requests and deliver exceptional personalised service with discretion.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate and train a multinational galley team.
- Strong delegation, conflict resolution, and performance management skills.
- Proficient in yacht management software for ordering, inventory and reporting.
- Calm under pressure, flexible with changing itineraries and guest numbers, able to work long hours during busy periods while maintaining quality and team morale.
- Expertise in cost control, inventory management, and provisioning in multiple international ports.

Location: Europe
Salary: EUR DOE
Leave: 2 month contract (extension possible)
Vessel itinerary & location- New build vessel – summer med season
