Burgess recruitment is currently seeking a Sole Chef for a 40m+ private/charter yacht
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Sole/Head Chef on yachts of similar size (40m+) or strong land-based fine dining background.
- Ability to plan, provision, and deliver high-quality, varied menus for guests and crew
- Strong knowledge of international cuisines, with emphasis on Mediterranean, healthy, and contemporary dining.
- Excellent provisioning skills, with focus on sourcing fresh, local, and seasonal ingredients.
- Confidence in managing all galley operations: budgeting, stock control, food safety, hygiene, and waste management.
- Holds STCW, ENG1, and Ship’s Cook Certificate
- Food Safety & Hygiene Level 2 (minimum, Level 3 preferred).
- Preference for culinary trained
- Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with the Captain, Chief Steward/ess, and other crew.
- Flexible, creative, and able to adapt menus to dietary requirements and preferences.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient galley at all times.

Salary: EUR 7500
Leave: 60 days
Private & Charter vessel with dual season operations.
