Burgess recruitment is seeking a Mate for a 26m motor yacht
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Mate to join a busy private yacht who will also act as chase boat Captain to a 43-foot Midnight Express, powered by five Mercury 500R outboards.
Requirements
- Master 200gt essential
- At least 2 years’ experience on a similar size yacht
- Confident in the overall running and management of the deck department
- Able to carry out engine room detailing
- Able to assist with mooring and anchoring operations
- Confident in handling water sport and activities with guests
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- B1/B2 Visa required

Program & Itinerary - Private – Bahamas season & USA yard period
Guest trips are generally one to two days in the Exumas, along with occasional day trips around Nassau.
The vessels are based outside the owner's residence in Nassau, normally from December through July. This coming season, however, the plan is to remain in the Bahamas until August, with periods in between when the owner is away. Followed by annual yard period in Florida.
