Burgess recruitment is currently seeking an Experienced Deckhand for a 50m+ yacht
We are seeking a highly skilled Experienced Deckhand to join our team on a temporary basis to cover crew holiday. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous experience in a similar role, who is reliable, hardworking, and has the ability to work well within a team environment.
Requirements
- MCA Yacht Rating Certificate (essential)
- B1B2 visa or U.S. Citizenship (must be valid for the duration of the contract)
- Previous experience as a deckhand on yachts, with strong knowledge of deck operations and safety protocols
- Proven tender driving skills, including the ability to handle a variety of tender vessels safely
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Able to work independently and take initiative when required
- Flexibility, adaptability, and a positive attitude in a dynamic environment
- Professional, well-presented, and capable of delivering high standards of service
Responsibilities
- Assisting with daily deck operations, including maintenance and upkeep of the yacht
- Tender driving and managing water sports activities for guests
- Supporting the deck team with mooring, anchoring, and docking procedures
- Ensuring that safety equipment is in good condition and correctly stored
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization on deck
- Assisting guests as needed, providing excellent customer service during tender rides and water activities
- Assisting with exterior cleaning, detailing, and general maintenance of the vessel
- Ensuring the safe operation of all tender and water-based activities

End date: 15 January 2025

Salary: EUR 3800
Vessel Program and itinerary: Dual season, private & charter
