Burgess recruitment is currently seeking a Deckhand for a 60m+ yacht
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Deckhand to join our crew on a 60m+ luxury yacht..
You will be responsible for maintaining the exterior of the yacht to the highest standards, assisting with docking and undocking procedures, tender operations, and ensuring the overall safety and security of the vessel. You will work closely with a professional and dynamic crew, where teamwork and communication are key.
Requirements:
- B1/B2 US Visa: Mandatory for travel to the United States and the Bahamas.
- Fully Vaccinated: Required for international travel and crew safety.
- STCW Certification: Must hold valid STCW (Standards of Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping) certification.
- Valid ENG 1 Medical Certificate: At least 6 months validity
Preferred Qualifications:
- Yachtmaster Offshore - 200t: Strongly preferred; will enhance your candidacy.
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience as a deckhand on a similar-sized vessel is beneficial.
Key Responsibilities:
- Exterior maintenance, including cleaning, polishing, and detailing
- Assisting with mooring, anchoring, and watch duties
- Tender driving and passenger transfers
- Ensuring all deck equipment is in excellent working condition
- Supporting the team in all aspects of daily yacht operations
Start date: 1 Oct 2024 (flexible)
Location: Italy
Salary: 3500 USD per month
Leave: 3:1 rotation
Full health insurance cover and annual bonus
This is an exciting opportunity to work on a vessel that offers a dual-season program, operating both privately and for charters. The yacht is currently in the shipyard in Italy and will set sail for the Bahamas in November
