Burgess recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Deckhand for a 70m private yacht.
We are seeking an experienced and outgoing deckhand to join a busy, family orientated vessel with a great crew & dynamic onboard.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar role on similar sized vessels
- All certs up to date including PBL2, PWC etc.
- Confident tender driver
- Good water sports experience (inflatables, etc.)
- Strong on deck with good product knowledge
- Great familiarity with families/teenagers
- Discreet, professional and strong team player
- Yachtmaster Offshore is highly desirable
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the maintenance and presentation of the exterior
- Duties include wash-downs, polishing, painting and general deck maintenance
- Assist with docking, anchoring, and tender operations
- Support water sports and guest activities
- Follow safety procedures and works closely with the Bosun and deck team to ensure smooth daily operations
Start date: 1 May
Location: Med
Salary: EUR 3000 – 3500 DOE
Leave: 90 days (3:1 flexible structure)
Generous training budget onboard
13th Month discretionary bonus
Vessel & itinerary: Private vessel with dual season operations. Med this summer before shipyard period
