Burgess recruitment is currently recruiting for a Rotational Chief Steward(ess) to join a 70m private M.Y (operating primarily as a private program with occasional charter.)
This is a hands-on Chief Steward(ess) role requiring strong leadership, high service standards, and the ability to adapt to different guest styles. Candidates should be confident managing a busy interior operation while maintaining a polished guest experience.
Key Skills & Experience
- Previous experience as Chief Steward(ess) on a similar-sized yacht (or strong 2nd Stew stepping up)
- Confident with:
- 3-course dinner service
- Silver service (not full)
- Themed events
- Table décor / styling
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Wine knowledge is a bonus
- Fluent English required
Program
- 70m private yacht with very occasional charter
- Crew: 19 total
- Interior team: 5 (including Chief Stew) + full-time laundry
- Itinerary: Summers in the Mediterranean, winters most recently in the Caribbean
- Varied itinerary with a mix of popular and more remote destinations
Start Date: End of June 2026
Leave: 10 weeks on / 10 weeks off
Salary: DOE
