Chief Engineer - Europe

Burgess recruitment is currently seeking a Chief Engineer for a 43m yacht 

We are seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to join a 43m+ vessel. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily engineering operations and addressing any technical issues that may arise. 

Requirements 

• EOOW III/3--Chief engineer < 3000KW-minimum requirement

• Proven experience in a similar role on yachts or commercial vessels. 

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure. 

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. 

• AVIT/ETO knowledge a plus 

**MUST HAVE A VALID SCHENGEN VISA**

Responsibilities 

• Oversee and manage daily engine room operations and maintenance. 

• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations. 

• Conduct regular inspections and troubleshooting of machinery. 

• Handle any technical issues or emergencies as they arise. 

• Collaborate with the crew to ensure smooth operation and adherence to protocols 

Start date:  ASAP

Location:  Med

Salary:  EUR 8500 DOE

Leave:  42 days flexible
