Burgess Recruitment is looking for a Captain for a 48m Charter Yacht (For Sale Programme)
Start Date: 25 May 2026
Salary: €12,000 per month
Leave: 90 days
Qualifications:
- Master 3000GT preferred; minimum Master 500GT considered with strong command experience
- All relevant STCW certifications up to date
- Valid ENG1
Requirements:
- Previous Captain experience on 45m+ yachts or exceptional Chief Officer from 50m+ ready to step up
- Strong charter background with proven operational delivery
- Proven experience supporting yacht sales, including broker viewings, surveys, and inspections
- Confident liaising with brokers, owner’s representatives, and potential buyers
- High attention to detail with ability to maintain the yacht to sale-ready standards at all times
- Strong leadership and crew management skills
- Calm, adaptable, and commercially aware
Visa Requirements:
- Must have the right to live and work in the EU
Other:
- Vessel based in the South of France
- Yacht is actively for sale alongside a busy charter programme
- Owner is motivated to sell — this is a dual-focus role requiring both exceptional guest service and commercial awareness
- Professional, polished, and presentable individual required
