Burgess Recruitment is looking for a Captain for a 35m Private Motor Yacht (New Build)
Start Date: Early July 2026
Salary: €10,000+ (DOE) per month
Leave: To be confirmed
Qualifications:
- Master 500 minimum
- Valid STCW and all relevant certification
- ENG1
Requirements:
- Previous command experience on 30–45m yachts preferred
- New build / commissioning experience highly desirable
- Strong leadership and crew management skills
- Experience implementing onboard systems and procedures
- Confident liaising with shipyard during sea trials and delivery
- Excellent owner interaction and service standards
- Hands-on, adaptable and solutions-focused approach
- Fluent English
- Sailing background considered an advantage
Other:
- 35m private motor yacht currently in build in Ancona, Italy
- Launch scheduled mid-June with delivery in September
- Role will support final build phase, sea trials and handover
- Initial cruising plans include Adriatic and Mediterranean programme
- Temporary contract (minimum 6 months) with potential to become permanent
- Existing crew in place (Engineer, Mate, Stewardess)
