Burgess Recruitment is looking for an experienced Captain for a 22m private motor yacht with future charter plans.
Start Date: No later than 12 September 2026
Salary: €6,500–€7,500 per month DOE
Leave: Market standard / negotiable

Requirements:

Proven Captain experience on similar-sized motor yachts

Strong charter yacht experience essential

Previous Mediterranean cruising experience preferred

Confident managing and operating a yacht with a small crew

Hands-on approach to the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the vessel

Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail

Excellent communication and owner-management skills

Calm, professional and solutions-focused approach

Shipyard experience advantageous

The yacht will operate predominantly between Italy, Saint-Tropez and Monaco and is likely to enter a shipyard period this winter.
The Owner's longer-term vision is to develop the yacht into a charter operation, so previous charter experience and an excellent understanding of charter standards are essential.
This is a hands-on Captain position working alongside a small onboard team consisting of Captain, Stew/Deckhand and Chef.
